Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at 423-623-1922 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

When compared to premium asphalt/fiberglass shingles, our panels win by having a longer lifespan (40+ years), better weather-resistance, are more energy efficient, and do not degrade from the intense UV exposure from the sun.

When compared to vinyl siding, metal requires almost zero upkeep and resists fire and extreme weather better. Metal also does not become brittle from UV over time like vinyl does.

(Plus the color selection is excellent.)

Currently, we only carry the Classic-Ribbed (Ag) panel profile (a.k.a. Tuff Rib,  G-Rib, or  5-Rib Panel). These are always made with #1 Grade 29 Gauge galvanized steel and carry a 40 year warranty for painted panels.

Why just the one profile?

Because this profile is very affordable while also being more than resilient enough to handle several decades of the weather in this part of the country.

We don't! Because every project is unique, we cater to each project accordingly by only making the number of panels you need and to the length(s) you need them down to the inch! (This also helps keep costs down by making sure you are not paying for unnecessary material.)

In short, a material list. For us to accurately make your order, we must first know what you need. We can not be responsible for making make your material list from measurements, schematics, or drawings.

We need to know the following:

  1. Number of panels (and what lengths) you need. (Each panel covers 3ft in width)
  2. What trim(s) you need to finish the job. (Ridge Caps, Corners, etc.) See our TRIM OFFERINGS page.
  3. Accessories needed (such as pipe boots, underlayment, sealants, and closures).
  4. When you need your materials.

No, we do not. HOWEVER, we know several excellent contractors who do!

Give us a call or visit our facility and we can happily provide some names and phone numbers of contractors in the area.

(We never take payments from these contractors to recommend them)

Our standard painted panels have a 40 year warranty through Sherwin Williams.

The unpainted (Acrylic-Coated Galvalume) panels have a 25-year warranty.

The Wood Grain colors have a 20-year chalk/flake warranty and a 40-year material warranty.

PLEASE KEEP YOUR TICKETS/RECEIPTS in a safe place!

This document is important for any future warranty claims.

Absolutely! We would prefer that you did!
Pictures on screens rarely do in-person colors justice.
Please visit our facility in Parrottsville, TN for free samples cut directly from our stock.

Yes! We have provided metal roofing & siding for both contractors and DIYers alike for over 20+ years!

We are not a contractor-only business.

Once an order has been placed, confirmed, and payed for, we can usually have your materials ready for pickup in 2 business days. If placing a delivery order, please try to order a week in advance.

Once your order is ready for pickup, we recommend bringing a truck with a bed and/or trailer that can support the length of your panels with preferably 3ft or less sticking out and unsupported. We also strongly recommend bringing several ratchet straps to safely secure your materials for transport.

We do! We need at least a week notice to get it to you in a timely manner.

It is possible to put metal roofing over shingles. However, it is important that the substrate under the shingles is in good condition and you must ALWAYS put a layer of underlayment between your shingles and your metal to avoid corrosion and to not void your warranty.

Our colored panels are painted with a high performance, multi-layered Sherwin Williams coating. After several years of UV exposure, any paint will fade a little. However, our painted panels have a limited lifetime warranty (40 years) that protects your project from excessive fading, peeling, or chalking.
